We’re excited to kick off another softball season! Below is important information to help you get started.
Registration starts TODAY, January 1, 2026- February 28, 2028. This years registration is $120 for all age groups except for t-ball. Tball will be $75.
Late registration will be held March 1st-March 5th with a $10 charge, for late registration.
Evaluations for team placement will be held on one night the week of March 1st-March 5th.
Tentatively practices will starts the week of March 23rd with games starting the week of March 30th. The season will be approximately 7-8 weeks depending on weather adjustments.
Please be advised that a copy of your child’s birth certificate is required for all players participating in Clinton Softball Organization (CSO) leagues and events for age and eligibility verification. This will be required for all players for 2026 season. Future seasons that a returning player participates in will not require a birth certificate.
Parents are NOT required to upload or provide proof of residence or school documents at this time, as only the birth certificate is needed to complete the documentation requirement.
Softball Division Breakdown
Tee Ball (Ages 4–5): Co-Ed tball
This season, 4-5 year-old players (birth year 2021 & 2020) will participate in co-ed tball rather than softball. At this age, our focus is on learning the fundamentals; hitting, throwing, catching, and running the bases. Thus keeping the game fun and developmentally appropriate.
Players will still register with softball and CSO will work with CBA to merge players.
U8 Softball ages 6,7,& 8 years old (birth year 2019,2018 & 2017)
The league will be coach pitch.
Focus is on improving batting, fielding, and game awareness in a supportive, fun setting.
U10 Softball ages 9 & 10 years old (birth year 2016 & 2015)
Players pitch with 35 foot pitching distance.
This division is player pitch, helping players transition to more advanced softball play.
U13 Softball ages 11, 12, & 13 year old (birth year 2014, 2013, 2012)
Players pitch with a 40 foot pitching distance.
This division helps players prepare for junior high school softball.
Players continue to develop their skills with an emphasis on individual skills and game IQ.
U16 Softball ages 14,15, &16 (birth year 2011, 2010, 2009)
Players pitch with a 43 foot pitching distance.
Designed for continued skill development, game strategy, and preparing players for higher levels of competition.
CSO welcomes all parents that wish to volunteer. Due to Little League regulations only parents that pass a background check will be allowed to help with the team. There will be 3 positions per team; Head Coach, Assistant Coach, Team Manager (dug out parent.)
